Testimonial of Ms. Indu Devi
My name is Indu Devi, I am a resident of Budhangara ward number-1. When the field team of Amar Trishala Sewa Aashram (ATSA) came into my home to talk to the adolescent girls/boys and their parents, the people here including me also did not listen carefully from the staff of ATSA and it was not very confident that they are also like others who came to my village and did so many promises that was not fulfilled and are also like that.
When we asked to the team what benefits you will give to us and to my village, first they denied said that we will not going to give any such things in cash or kind we only give knowledge to the adolescent and sit with them so that they can build their capacity in terms of life skill, social justice, livelihood, leadership skilling etc.
Despite several round of contact and meeting repeatedly told that we will work with adolescent and your support is highly appreciable, I again told to the team that some things you have to give in my village but they denied then my believe became stronger that they are really telling the right things. From that day I took promise that I will cooperate to this team. Now in my village youth people are sitting in meeting every month and discussing village and their issues. I am very happy that youths are unite and this organization is very keen to act for the benefit of the adolescent.
